The German poet and journalist Matthias Claudius, who deceased 200 years ago, used to live and work in our neighborhood. Therefore some memorials can be found around here.
"Freudensprung" (Jump of Joy) by Bernd Blöcker
"Zeitungslesen am Strand" (Reading Newspaper at the Beach) by Bernd Blöcke
The newest was erected in January this year and refers to the very famous "Abendlied" (Evening song or the Moon has risen) by Claudius.
The other day we explored it on our way and the children sang every single verse of it :-)
