Young Swallow

This lovely young swallow made her very first flight out of the nest directly on Frida. Her parents seem to be rather worried, but she sat there for quite a while before she dared to spread her wings again. Real cutie!

Beautiful Nature!

We still need to determine who's eggs these might have been, since no bird was around when we found them...but anyway, it was one of the most amazing findings this summer: A nest made of shattered ouster and other shells and three beautiful eggs with a pattern like it was painted on them with ink and a form so very cleverly designed :-)

Swan

This swan wasn't all to friendly to us when we moored in Evjesundet/Norway this summer. In the end only a handful of water prevented him from further attacking our dinghy...

Painted Lady :-)

Two weeks ago we got some caterpillars ordered at Insect Lore. After they became rather obese eating up all the food they brought with them, they build cocoons overnight. We put them out in the garden in a net made container. Yesterday, one week later, they became.....beautiful butterflies :-)
