Woodland Crocus (Crocus tommasinianus)


Woodland Crocus (Crocus tommasinianus), named after the politician and botanist Mutius Joseph Spiritus de Tommasini (1794–1879).
This kind of crocus is amongst the first in the year to bloom.
Crocus belong to the family of Iridaceae. They origin from orient, Europe and Nother Africa.
The Woodland Crocus belongs to the wild type series of Crocus verni.
